SecoGear 12–27 kV Switchgear is in the GEIS medium-voltage switchgear range.

SecoGear 12–27 kV is indoor metal-clad air-insulated switchgear for the MV section of HV/MV and MV/MV substations. It is designed, assembled, and type-tested to IEC 62271-200 (LSC2B, PM metallic partition) and IEC 62271-100, with earthed metal compartments, safety interlocks, closed-door racking, automatic shutters, and an embedded-pole SecoVac vacuum circuit breaker. Rated 12 / 17.5 / 24 / 27 kV, 50/60 Hz. Up to 17.5 kV the current range is 630–5000 A (4000/5000 A with forced cooling) with short-time withstand of 25 / 31.5 / 40 / 50 kA. 24/27 kV ratings go to 3150 A and 25 / 31.5 kA. Internal arc classification AFLR up to 50 kA / 1 s, enclosure IP4X (compartment IP2X). Used for switching and protection of cables, transformers, capacitors, and motors.
