GEIS Gas-Insulated Switchgear Receives TÜV Rheinland IECEE CB Certification
August 25, 2025 — GEIS announced that its 17.5kV IP54 ALPS US3.0 series gas-insulated switchgear (GIS) has been awarded the IECEE CB Certificate by TÜV Rheinland, Germany.
The GEIS ALPS 17.5kV GIS is engineered to deliver exceptional reliability while meeting the diverse requirements of secondary electrical distribution systems. Supporting operating voltages up to 17.5kV and both 50Hz and 60Hz frequencies, the equipment ensures dependable performance across a wide range of applications, from industrial distribution networks to urban grid expansions.
With a basic impulse level (BIL) of 95kV, the ALPS US3.0 guarantees stable operation under extreme conditions, effectively reducing outage risks caused by lightning strikes. Its IP54 protection rating further enhances versatility, making it suitable for both indoor and outdoor installations.
